Selectmen shorts, November 23
• Liquor license renewed. The Selectmen unanimously approved the renewal of a license for the sale of packaged beer and wine at Ferns Country Store for the next calendar year. Co-proprietor Larry Bearfield paid the $1,000 license fee.
• Bicycle group makes donation. The Northeast Bicycle Club, Inc. donated $300 to the Carlisle Education Foundation in appreciation for the town’s granting permission for a series of time trials over the summer.
• Town Meeting. Town Administrator Tim Goddard proposed Monday, May 9, 2011, for the Annual Town Meeting and Tuesday, May 17, 2011, for Town Election. The Town Caucus would occur the fourth week in February. The Selectmen tentatively agreed with the proposed dates.
• Revised schedule. The board will meet on December 7 and December 21. The December joint meeting with the Carlisle Affordable Housing Trust will be rescheduled to a later date. ∆
