Election Day tips from the Town Clerk
On Tuesday, November 2, the polls will open at 7 a.m. at Carlisle’s Town Hall and remain open for voting until 8 p.m. Since campaigning is forbidden within 150 feet of the polling place, do not display conspicuous signs on your car or arrive wearing clothing or buttons related to the election.
Page magnifiers will be available for those having problems reading the ballot. Voters may bring in a sheet of paper with their choices marked to refer to, but are asked not to ask election workers to explain the ballot questions. Workers can only answer questions about ballot marking procedures.
Absentee ballots will be available until noon on Monday, November 1, and people may vote in person at the Clerk’s office on the first floor of Town Hall.
The Council on Aging is offering van rides to seniors and disabled people. To make arrangements, call the van line at 1-978-371-6690 by noon on Friday, October 29.
