Town passes Yellow Blitz check

Carlisle had an unblemished performance on the Registry of Motor Vehicles Operation Yellow Blitz on Thursday, October 24. Yellow Blitz is the code name for a voluntary, one-hour check on traffic violations of school bus safety regulations. Carlisle volunteered for the program which stipulated that a police vehicle either follow a bus or monitor a stop. Beginning at 6:28 a.m. at Carriage Way and East Riding Drive and ending at 8:15 a.m. at Ledgeways, police officers observed vehicles approach a school bus stop when the bus was stopped and had flashing lights. To Carlisle’s credit, there was not a single violation. ∆
