Police Blotter

October 18

7:33 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of dogs running in the roadway on Bedford Road and had a negative find.

7:44 a.m. A dog was found on Bedford Road and placed in the pound; the owners were notified.

11:02 a.m. An iPod was found at Banta-Davis Field, brought to the station, and placed in the lost and found.

11:22 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on South Street at the scene of a fire alarm.

2:55 p.m. Eyeglasses found on the Common were brought to the station and tagged.

3:00 p.m. A police officer was present at the Carlisle Public Schools for a cross-country meet.

5:21 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of kids throwing rocks at a beaver den on Maple Street and had a negative find.

October 19

1:31 a.m. A camo hat with a light was found in the street at Bedford Road and Maple Street. It was brought to the station.

2:00 p.m. An East Street resident reported a possible phone scam.

October 20

7:08 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of suspicious activity at Lowell Street and North Road and had a negative find.

2:42 p.m. A speed monitor was placed at Munroe Hill Road and Aaron Way.

5:04 p.m. A missing track runner was located.

5:15 p.m. Suspicious persons at Bedford Road and Foss Field were sent on their way.

7:22 p.m. The Dog Officer was advised of a missing dog on Russell Street. The dog was found.

October 21

6:26 a.m. Operation Yellow Blitz at Carriage Way and East Riding Drive. (See article, on this page.)

6:28 a.m. Operation Yellow Blitz at Lowell Street and Ember Lane.

8:07 a.m. Operation Yellow Blitz, Town of Carlisle.

8:15 a.m. Operation Yellow Blitz, Lowell Street and Ledgeways.

9:49 a.m. A Westford Street resident reported an aggressive coyote; the report was referred to Fish and Wildlife.

2:06 p.m. A vehicle was stopped at Westford and Curve Street and subsequently towed because the registration had expired.

3:13 p.m. DPW was notified of a tree across Woodbine Road.

5:43 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of erratic vehicle operation at River Road and the Concord line and determined the vehicle was in Concord.

October 22

2:38 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Ledgeways.

12:50 p.m. Patrol investigated an attempted break-in in Billerica near the Carlisle town line. (See Mosquito story, 10/22/10, page 1.)

2:44 p.m. A minor vehicle accident occurred on Lowell Street. The parties involved exchanged information.

6:52 p.m. An Estabrook Road resident reported barking dogs.

7:06 p.m. Patrol assisted a vehicle operator who was lost.

October 23

9:19 a.m. Patrol advised parties involved in a domestic dispute on Lowell Street.

9:57 a.m. Cars were found parked in a no parking zone at Spalding Field and Church Street.

1:52 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on East Street at St. Irene’s where there was a fire alarm from a master box.

2:39 p.m. A minor vehicle accident occurred on Westford Street.

6:03 p.m. A pocketbook was found at Diment Park and Church Street. The owner was notified and picked it up later in the day.

6:38 p.m. Patrol located a suspicious vehicle with no one around at South Street and Heald Road.

8:00 p.m. A one-car accident occurred on Bedford Road. The operator will be summonsed for operating an uninsured vehicle.

October 24

12:06 a.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a vehicle lockout on Westford Street.

9:04 a.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle at Bedford Road and Canterbury Lane. AAA came and repaired a tire.

1:00 p.m. A possible missing cat on Russell Street was found.

2:16 p.m. A suspicious vehicle on Oak Knoll Road checked okay.

4:42 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Patch Meadow Lane. Patrol investigated with a negative find.

10:10 p.m. Patrol secured a door found open on Bedford Road. ∆

12:16 p.m. Medical emergency on River Road. A 90-year-old female was transported to Emerson Hospital with ALS.

October 18

11:22 a.m. Alarm investigation on South Street.

October 22

2:37 a.m. Medical emergency on Ledgeways. A 62-year-old female was transported to Emerson Hospital.

October 23

1:53 p.m. Master Box fire alarm received from St. Irene’s Church on East Street. ∆
