Police Blotter

August 23

8:23 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on Red Pine Drive at the scene of a smoking telephone pole.

9:52 a.m. A license plate was found at Brook Street and Page Brook Road and a message left at the residence of the owner.

10:35 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on Audubon Lane at the scene of a fire alarm.

7:10 p.m. A resident contacted the station for legal advice.

7:46 p.m. A Log Hill Road resident reported an overdue female had arrived safely.

August 24

8:51 a.m. An East Street resident reported credit card fraud; a card that had been cancelled was used for an airline ticket. The theft is under investigation.

1:09 p.m. Comcast was notified of a wire in the roadway at Concord Street and Clark Farm Road.

1:18 p.m. A property owner and developer reported trespass on a construction site on Rutland Street.

3:47 p.m. Patrol removed a branch in the roadway at Lowell Street and Proctor Road.

7:37 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Westford Street.

10:06 p.m. A 911 abandoned call was confirmed accidental.

August 25

1:21 a.m. An Acton Street pole was checked for possible arcing and no problem found.

3:03 a.m. DPW was advised of a tree down in the road at Hemlock Hill Road and Laurelwood Drive.

7:23 a.m. DPW was notified of a tree branch in the road.

8:31 a.m. NSTAR was notified of a dead tree on wires on Baldwin Road.

2:16 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.

3:06 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious truck on Church Street. It checked okay and was determined to be working for Comcast.

3:38 p.m. A Lowell Street resident made a traffic complaint.

3:40 p.m. A speed monitor was set up on Lowell Street.

4:07 p.m. A Click-It-Or-Ticket traffic enforcement operation started at 4:07 p.m. and ended at 6:42 p.m. There were 12 vehicles stopped.

4:45 p.m. A dog was found on Bedford Road. The owner was contacted and picked it up.

9:20 p.m. DPW was notified of a log on the side of Bedford Road.

11:07 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle at the ice cream stand on Bedford Road; it checked okay.

August 26

7:26 a.m. A Hartwell Road resident complained of a noise disturbance and was advised that the town bylaw permitted machine operation after 7 a.m.

2:12 p.m. Patrol attempted to deliver a message from another Police Department to a Sunset Road resident. That individual was not at home and a message was left.

3:35 p.m. A Wolf Rock Road resident reported construction noise and was referred to the Building Inspector.

4:41 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of bicyclists riding abreast at Lowell Street and Elizabeth Ridge Road and had a negative find.

5:48 p.m. An East Street resident contacted the station on a civil matter and was advised.

7:14 p.m. A Hemlock Hill Road resident reported wood he cut and piled from a tree that had fallen on his lawn was missing. It was determined that DPW had picked it up.

8 p.m. A Click–It-Or-Ticket operation began at 8 p.m. and ended at 11:07 p.m. There were seven vehicle stops.

August 27

1:18 a.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle at Bedford Road and the Boat Launch and it checked okay.

9:15 a.m. A Rutland Street resident made a noise complaint and was advised.

9:26 a.m. Comcast was notified of a sagging cable wire on Bedford Road.

11:44 a.m. A Bedford Road resident contacted the station for legal advice.

11:58 a.m. A Maple Street resident reported a past suspicious vehicle on the Greenough Land.

12:29 p.m. Patrol made a well-being check on Russell Street.

4:54 p.m. A Clark Farm Road resident was advised that branches deposited on property at a new house were illegally dumped. The branches were removed.

8:09 p.m. A stray dog picked up on North Road was returned to its owner.

August 28

1:38 a.m. A check was made of the Lowell Street and Old North Road area.

2:02 a.m. A check was made of the Nowell Farme Road and Garnet Rock Road area.

2:02 a.m. A check was made of the Maple Street to Billerica town line area.

7:53 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on South Street at the scene of a fire alarm.

10:31 a.m. The operator of a Verizon truck blocking the roadway at Curve and Fiske Street was advised.

5:24 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of an erratic operator at Concord and Russell Streets and had a negative find.

8:28 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of six-to-eight gunshots heard on Curve Street and had a negative find.

9:08 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Partridge Lane.

10:26 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a fox wandering by the side of the road at Concord Street and the Concord line and had a negative find.

10:50 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle at Bedford Road and the Banta-Davis Fields. The occupants checked okay and were advised.

11:43 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Aldershot Lane.

August 29

2:07 a.m. Patrol found bags of trash on the side of the roadway at Westford Street and the flats near the Fire Department.

8:17 a.m. NSTAR was notified of a reported power outage on River Road.

9:10 a.m. A Sunset Road resident reported an unknown vehicle in the drive of a neighbor who was away. It was identified as belonging to a repairman with a legitimate reason for being at the house. However, a police search indicated that the house had been broken into and the matter is under investigation.

12:09 p.m. A Sunset Road resident with a noise complaint was advised.

5:36 p.m. A Buttrick Lane resident contacted the station for legal advice.

8:04 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious person at Curve Street and the bog and had a negative find.

8:18 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of an injured fox in the road at Concord Street and the Concord line and the situation checked okay.

August 30

9:41 a.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.

10:32 a.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a house lockout on Hutchins Road.

8:13 p.m. Patrol investigated suspicious activity on Hanover Road; the situation appeared okay.

August 31

12:05 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle at Curve Street and the bog; it was gone before the cruiser arrived.

11:56 a.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a cruiser lockout on Curve Street.

1:43 p.m. NSTAR was advised of a tree on wires at Autumn Lane and Robbins Drive.

5:01 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a disabled vehicle at Lowell Street and Elizabeth Ridge Road.

September 1

1:32 a.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle at Bedford Road and the boat launch; the situation checked okay and the vehicle operator was advised.

12:54 p.m. Comcast was notified of a cable wire on the ground on Rodgers Road.

1:16 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a box alarm on Lowell Street in the center.

1:48 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a fire alarm on Fiske Street.

4 p.m. A Click-It-Or-Ticket traffic enforcement operation began at 4 p.m. and ended at 7:52 p.m. with ten vehicle stops.

September 2

7:23 a.m. A resident contacted the station with a report of possible Internet fraud which was investigated and checked okay.

9:27 a.m. A crane in the roadway on Bedford Road created a traffic hazard and was moved.

12:56 p.m. A suspicious silver pickup was stopped on Partridge Lane. It checked okay.

2:55 p.m. A Click-It-Or-Ticket traffic enforcement operation began at 2:55 p.m. and ended at 5:52 p.m. with ten vehicles stopped.

3:44 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of an erratic operator on East Street and had a negative find.

4:40 p.m. A vehicle stopped at Westford Street and Johnson Road was determined to have an expired registration and was towed.

7:43 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a bicyclist riding in the middle of the road near the ice cream stand on Bedford Road and had a negative find.

7:53 p.m. The dog officer was advised of a complaint about a dog chasing bicyclists at Curve Street and Cranberry Hill Road.

9:05 p.m. Patrol conducted a street light survey.

September 3

8:08 a.m. Police are investigating a possible Internet scam reported by a person who does not live in Carlisle.

9:05 a.m. Verizon was notified of a guy wire down on Baldwin Road.

11:31 a.m. Police investigated suspicious vehicle activity on Westford Street.

11:38 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was stopped on Westford Street. It checked okay.

11:56 a.m. A vehicle was stopped at East Street and Cutter’s Ridge Road and investigated in connection with the above items.

12:53 p.m. A breaking and entering on Heald Road is under investigation.

6:05 p.m. A child’s bracelet was found and brought to the Police Station.

11:17 p.m. Patrol secured an open door on Westford Street.

September 4

10:55 a.m. Police were present at Bedford Road and the rotary for a bicycle event.

12:34 p.m. A disagreement between persons at the visitor’s center on North Road resulted in a simple assault which was resolved by the parties involved.

12:41 p.m. A wallet was found on Evergreen Lane and brought to the station.

5:56 p.m. DPW removed a tree blocking the roadway at Bellows Hill Road and Estabrook Road.

September 5

7:07 a.m. A burglar alarm at the Spalding Building checked okay.

3:55 p.m. Patrol checked a report of loud music at a West Street residence and advised the responsible persons.

5:50 p.m. Political signs were stolen on Elizabeth Ridge Road.

7:55 p.m. Patrol investigated suspicious activity at a Sunset Road residence and determined the situation appeared okay.

8:27 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of gunshots on Skelton Road and had a negative find.∆

August 23

8:19 a.m. Telephone pole burning on Red Pine Drive.

7:34 p.m. Medical emergency on Westford Street. Transported patient to Emerson Hospital with ALS.

August 28

7:54 a.m. Alarm investigation on South Street.

9:06 p.m. Medical emergency on Partridge Lane. No transport.

11:41 p.m. Medical emergency on Aldershot Lane. Transported patient to Emerson Hospital.

September 1
