Carlisle cases heard in court
Two Carlisle cases have been heard in the Middlesex District Court this month. The first was that of Curtis Gladstone, a Chelmsford resident who was arrested and taken into custody last August for breaking into and entering a house on Cross Street (See Mosquito, 8-14-09, “Police nab housebreakers in all out chase”). Gladstone’s trial was waived until later this month because he is involved in another case being heard this month in the Superior Court.
Jason Balliestiero was charged with assault and battery in Carlisle on January 3 of this year (See Mosquito, 1-29-10, “Carlisle resident summonsed for assault”). On July 19 his case was heard in the Concord District Court and was dismissed. According to a spokesman for the Court, Balliestiero had a case in the Maynard District Court for an assault on 11-30-09 which was not prosecuted because of lack of testimony from the victim. The victim in the Carlisle case did not press charges and in an April 19 court session an accord of satisfaction was signed and the Middlesex Court judge dismissed the case. ∆
