Police Blotter

June 7

1:21 a.m. DPW was notified of trash dumping at North Road and the Billerica line.

11:17 a.m. Patrol investigated suspicious activity at Cross and South Streets; the situation checked okay.

2:09 p.m. Patrol responded to a complaint about a dog that jumped on a vehicle at Maple Street and the Billerica line. The dog was brought home.

2:55 p.m. Police were advised of a geological survey being conducted in town.

11:45 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle reported on South Street and had a negative find.

June 8

1:26 p.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm at a North Road residence and found the situation appeared secure.

2:20 p.m. A Curve Street resident reported a suspicious object on the lawn; patrol investigated and the situation checked okay.

3:09 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle at Curve Street and Hutchins Road and had a negative find.

5:23 p.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm at a Kimball Road residence and found the situation appeared secure.

9:49 p.m. A tree across the road at North Road and the Duck Pond was removed by DPW.

10:15 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on West Street and had a negative find.

10:32 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of loud music playing on Judy Farm Road and determined the noise was coming from Acton. Acton Police were notified.

June 9

12:01 p.m. Police were notified of a possible phone scam at Carlisle Auto Body on Bedford Road.

June 10

3:46 a.m. Concord Police asked for assistance in locating a pickup truck they had stopped in that town; the vehicle was subsequently located in Concord.

11:26 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of a truck blocking the roadway on Bedford Road.

11:35 a.m. The speed limit sign at Lowell and Curve Streets was found to have been spray painted.

1:42 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a possibly sick fox at Concord Street and Indian Hill Road and had a negative find.

2:42 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of an illegally passed school bus on Concord Street; the responsible vehicle was located and the operator given a written warning.

June 11

10:40 a.m. Dispatch notified NSTAR of a tree down on a wire on Lowell Street.

1:10 p.m. Patrol responded to a report of a dog in the water at Curve Street and the bogs. No rescue was necessary because the dog turned and swam to shore.

2:04 p.m. A complaint about a dog barking at a woman walking at Curve Street and the bogs was logged.

4:36 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a car towing a trailer on Westford Street with part of the trailer hanging out and had a negative find.

5:59 p.m. Yard materials were dumped on Sunset Road.

7:32 p.m. Concord Police asked for assistance locating a person on the road to Carlisle whom they sought in connection with a domestic incident. Carlisle Police located the individual, arrested him on School Street, and returned him to Concord custody.

9:35 p.m. A 911 hang-up call from a Concord Street residence was investigated and determined to have been caused by a domestic dispute.

June12

10:47 a.m. A residential alarm from Rutland Street was determined to have been set off accidentally by a realtor.

12:59 p.m. Patrol made a well-being check at School Street and Baldwin Road and found things checked okay.

4:30 p.m. A motor vehicle accident occurred on Lowell Street; the ambulance was requested but no transport was given.

5:05 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a loose dog that ran into the cemetery at the Old Burying Ground on Lowell Street: they had a negative find.

5:53 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a loose dog on Concord Street; they found the dog and returned it to its owner.

6:04 p.m. DPW removed a large tree in the roadway at Westford and Church Streets.

8:41 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of strange items on the side of the road on South Street and had a negative find.

June 13

7:38 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of loose horses on Long Ridge Road and had a negative find.

1:36 p.m. A female inside the closed Transfer Station on Morse Road was advised.

1:43 p.m. DPW was advised of a limb blocking the sidewalk on Lowell Street.

2 p.m. Patrol responded to a complaint of illegal passing and tailgating on Bedford Road. The responsible vehicle was stopped and the operator advised.

2:48 p.m. Patrol investigated a panic alarm from a Westford Street location and found the situation checked okay.

3:40 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of illegal passing at Bedford and Skelton Roads and had a negative find.

4:23 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a domestic verbal dispute on East Street.

10:40 p.m. An Oak Knoll resident reported someone knocking at the door. Patrol investigated with a negative find.

10:27 a.m. Medical emergency on West Street. Assist elderly male who fell out of bed, no transport.

11:59 a.m. Alarm investigation on East Street at St. Irene Church.

June 9

3:21 p.m. Carbon monoxide investigation on Hobblebush Lane. No CO found.

June 11

4:35 p.m. Medical emergency on Hemlock Hill Road. A 62-year-old male was transported to Lahey Clinic. ∆
