Varsity baseball team looks to next year

The 2010 Concord-Carlisle baseball season has come to a close, with the team posting a losing record. This year’s team was described as “very young,” consisting of far fewer seniors than previous seasons after many talented seniors left for college last year.

Nonetheless, many players in the program are optimistic about future success, as the younger players have great potential and there is much room for improvement.

Varsity players from Carlisle included senior Frank Byrne, an outfielder; junior Adam Koski, first base; catcher Brendan Canavan, sophomore; outfielder Gibson Holland, sophomore and outfielder Alex Nardone, a sophomore.

Koski summed it up this way: “With only two returning varsity players, this year was a building year. Every player worked hard.” He predicts that “next year we will be a dominating force in the DCL!” ∆
