Police Blotter

May 17

10:05 a.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm at an Elizabeth Ridge Road residence. Everything appeared secure.

12:41 p.m. Dispatch received a complaint about an unregistered solicitor on Martin Street and advised the person who made the complaint.

1:08 p.m. Patrol checked a burglar alarm from an Elizabeth Ridge Road residence and found the situation was okay.

1:09 p.m. Dispatch advised NSTAR of a power outage on Indian Hill.

2:27 p.m. A Kimball Road resident complained about an unregistered solicitor and was advised.

2:34 p.m. An Elizabeth Ridge Road resident complained about an unregistered solicitor and was advised.

4:48 p.m. A River Road resident reported an unregistered solicitor on that street; patrol investigated and determined the individual was over the town line in Concord.

6:20 p.m. Dispatch advised the Dog Officer of a complaint about a barking dog on Acton Street.

7:51 p.m. A Police Officer made a bicycle patrol of School Street and the public schools.

9:55 p.m. Patrol checked the Greenough barn on Maple Street.

10:05 p.m. Patrol advised the operator of a suspicious vehicle at Curve Street and the bogs to move along.

May 18

5:31 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of an injured deer on the side of the road at Bedford Road and the Bedford line and had a negative find.

7:35 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of an erratic operator at Lowell Street and Sunset Road and had a negative find.

9:30 a.m. A River Road resident borrowed a have-a-heart trap from the police.

3:44 p.m. Police assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Wilson Lane.

5:47 p.m. A message was left for the operator of a trailer parked in front of a cistern on Trillium Way.

6:13 p.m. Patrol found that an injured deer reported at School Street and the Spalding building was apparently okay since it left on its own.

May 19

5:47 a.m. A Palmer Way resident complained about loud music heard from a car.

6:44 a.m. Dispatch notified DPW of a branch in the roadway at North Road and Rutland Street. The branch was cleared.

7:22 a.m. Patrol assisted DPW at East Street and Old East Street.

8:27 a.m. Patrol determined that a burglar alarm from an Oak Knoll Road residence was set off accidentally by cleaners.

11:38 a.m. Patrol left a message for the owner of a car creating noise at Brook Street and East Riding Drive.

1:46 p.m. A Fiske Street resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.

3:35 p.m. A Restorative Justice meeting was held at the station.

11:26 p.m. Loose horses at South Street and Heald Road were retrieved by their owner.

May 20

4:14 a.m. A Palmer Way resident complained about loud music from a vehicle.

7:54 a.m. An injured owl on West Street was moved to the side of the road.

10 a.m. A Restorative Justice meeting was held at the station.

11:22 a.m. Patrol investigated a report of bicyclists riding two abreast and had a negative find.

12:04 p.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm from an Old East Street residence and found the site appeared secure.

1:08 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a possible sick fox at Lowell Street and Elizabeth Ridge Road and had a negative find.

May 21

3:40 a.m. Patrol determined that loud music reported on Palmer Way came from a vehicle delivering newspapers.

9:05 a.m. A backpack was found at Bedford and Skelton Roads and the owner contacted.

9:30 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Church Street.

12:33 p.m. A burglar alarm received from a Daniels Lane residence was determined to be accidental.

1:35 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency at Bedford Road and Stoney Gate.

3:17 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a dog barking uncontrollably on Russell Street and found the situation appeared okay.

4:38 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle on Hanover Road. The vehicle checked okay and the operator was advised.

5:37 p.m. Patrol removed a small fox trapped in stairs on Rodgers Road.

9:01 p.m. Patrol was unable to locate an injured owl reported at West and Acton Streets.

May 22

10:57 a.m. Dispatch notified DPW of a pothole at Craigie Circle and Peter Hans Road.

11:54 a.m. Dispatch notified an Orchard Acres Drive resident that their lost wallet had been found and was at the station.

12:20 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a reckless driver on Concord Street. When it was determined that the vehicle was in Concord the Concord police were notified and stopped it in that town.

12:27 p.m. A Virginia Farme resident reported suspicious email.

5:53 p.m. A two-car vehicle accident occurred on Bedford Road.

9:30 p.m. The Dog Officer was notified of a barking dog on Long Ridge Road.

10:01 p.m. The same Long Ridge Road resident reported the dog was barking again and the owner of the dog was advised to bring it inside.

11:37 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a loud party on Autumn Lane and had a negative find.

May 23

11:51 a.m. A Police Officer on bike patrol gave a safety talk at St. Irene Church.

6:05 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a man touching a woman inappropriately at the Ice Cream stand on Bedford Road. It was determined that the individuals involved were a man and his wife and man’s hand was in the wife’s pocket. ∆

9:29 p.m. Wires down and burning outside on East Street at Old East Street. NSTAR was notified.

May 21

9:30 a.m. Medical emergency on Church Street. A patient was transported from Church Street elderly housing to Emerson Hospital.

1:33 p.m. Medical emergency on Bedford Road. A male bicyclist was transported from Bedford Road near the line to the Lahey Clinic with ALS.
