Thanks to LWV and Mosquito
To the Editor:
I want to express appreciation to the League of Women Voters (LWV) for sponsoring the recent Candidates Forum where candidates for all open, elected positions in town were afforded the opportunity to provide valuable insight into our respective positions. The Forum was especially enlightening for the Selectmen’s race which is the only contested position. I also want to thank the Carlisle Mosquito for the coverage provided for our elections. Most certainly, having access to additional candidate information allows us to make more informed choices. To that end, I’d encourage all of our residents to visit my website (www.LBear.org) for more discussions about my positions on vital Carlisle issues. I’ve also added the CCTV schedule of the airing of the LWV Forum on Channel 8. Thank you to the LWV and the Mosquito for helping keep us informed!

Thanks for Book Fair support
To the Editor,
Thank you to all who supported the Carlisle School Association Annual Book Fair. From the many parent volunteers who worked staffing the fair to the students, parents and teachers who purchased books, we could not have done it without you. Special thanks go to the CSA for providing Cultural Enrichment funds to host guest author Jarrett Krosocoszka.
He taught us all a few writing and art techniques as well as shared how many times he has been rejected by publishers. His message to never give up was inspiring. A second thanks goes to the Brown Family for donating a set of tickets to the Spinners game for our raffle. All the proceeds from the Book Fair go to purchasing new books to expand the school library collection. Again, we thank the Carlisle Community for your tremendous support.
