Police Blotter

March 1

6:20 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on Stearns Street where there was smoke in the basement.

1:34 p.m. Patrol stopped an erratic driver at Bedford Road and East Street and found everything checked okay.

9:10 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious person on Lowell Street and found the person checked okay.

March 2

12:44 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at an Autumn Lane residence where there was water in the basement.

1:48 p.m. Police investigated a burglar alarm from a Judy Farm Road residence. The owner was out of town and the house appeared secure. No cause for the alarm was found.

2:11 p.m. DPW was notified of sand in the roadway on Westford Street.

3:57 p.m. The Dog Officer was notified of a dog in the road at Lowell Street and the ski barn.

6:18 p.m. A beaver lying in the road on Russell Street was moved aside and DPW was notified.

7:37 p.m. An erratic operator was stopped at West Street and Pope Road. It was determined that he had been eating a sandwich while driving.

March 3

3:55 a.m. Chelmsford Police found checks from a Carlisle resident in a vehicle that was broken into while parked at a garage in that town. Chelmsford subsequently arrested the person responsible for that and other thefts.

10:35 a.m. A sex offender inquiry was made at the station.

12:09 p.m. A Judy Farm Road resident reported a past break-in. The report is under investigation.

12:43 p.m. Trash was dumped on Russell Street.

2:51 p.m. Two loose horses were reported on Lowell Street; the Field Driver got them home.

3:27 p.m. A Restorative Justice meeting was held at the station.

3:58 p.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a house lockout on East Riding Drive.

5:26 p.m. A Judy Farm Road resident was fingerprinted at the station.

5:53 p.m. Concord Police asked for assistance in locating an individual with Carlisle relatives for whom they had a warrant. The Carlisle search was not successful and Concord finally found the individual.

March 4

9:39 a.m. A burglar alarm was received from a Skelton Road residence. The situation checked okay.

10:46 a.m. The Dog Officer was notified of more than 18 dogs loose on North Road. The dogs belonged to a kennel and were retrieved.

2:04 p.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle with no one around at Curve Street and Forest Park Drive.

2:15 p.m. A Restorative Justice meeting was held at the station.

6:22 p.m. An Acton Street resident reported a lost wallet.

March 5

9:55 a.m. NSTAR was notified of a branch on wires at Spalding Field and Church Street.

7:42 p.m. Patrol checked on a school dance.

9:09 p.m. Patrol checked on a school dance.

March 6

1:36 a.m. DPW was notified of a dead beaver in the road at Russell Street and Spencer Brook Lane.

8:50 a.m. The Dog Officer was notified of a dog in the roadway at West Street and Pope Road.

12:58 p.m. A burglar alarm from a Westford Street residence was confirmed accidental.

1:28 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a fire alarm on Westford Street.

3:59 p.m. The Dog Officer was notified of barking dogs on River Road.

4:15 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a motorcycle passing cars at Bedford Road and the Bedford line and had a negative find.

8:27 p.m. Patrol assisted Concord Police looking for a group of five to six kids reported to be smashing mailboxes at River Road and the Concord Line.

9:33 p.m. Patrol assisted a motorist who hit a mailbox on Bedford Road. ∆

6:20 a.m. Smoke investigation inside building on Stearns Street. This was a burner malfunction and there was carbon monoxide inside the house.

12:44 p.m. Water problem on Autumn Lane. More than four inches of water pumped out of basement.
