Police Blotter

January 18

1:49 a.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a disabled vehicle on Bedford Road.

5:35 a.m. Patrol assisted the DPW at Westford Street and the town line where a tree was down across the road.

5:43 a.m. DPW was advised of a tree down across the road at North Road and Rutland Street.

6:28 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at Brook Street and East Riding Drive where a tree down in the road created a traffic hazard.

6: 49 a.m. A tree down in the road at Bedford Road and Shady Brook Lane was cleared by DPW.

8:07 a.m. A detail was ordered for a traffic hazard at Brook Street and East Riding Drive where a tree was down in the roadway.

8:37 a.m. NSTAR was notified of a tree on wires on Maple Street.

9:07 a.m. Verizon was notified of a damaged pole on Maple Street (same address as preceding item).

9:24 a.m. DPW was notified of a tree blocking one lane on North Road.

10:53 a.m. NSTAR was notified of a limb on wires on Autumn Lane creating a safety hazard.

1:51 p.m. A resident notified police that her car would be parked in the municipal lot overnight while her yard was being plowed.

2:13 p.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle on Bedford Road and found AAA was en route.

5:42 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on Carriage Way at the scene of a CO alarm.

6:07 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Log Hill Road.

January 19

4:36 a.m. NSTAR was advised of a branch on a low-hanging wire at Carlisle Pines Drive and Evergreen Lane.

7:28 a.m. Patrol assisted with traffic at Concord and Westford Streets.

8:24 a.m. A minor vehicle accident with no personal injury occurred on Lowell Street.

8:28 a.m. An injured deer was reported on Autumn Lane; it was put down.

8:43 a.m. A dog was found on Brook Street; it was picked up by the owner.

9:49 a.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a disabled truck on Westford Street; a tow was en route.

10:31 a.m. A tree was reported in the roadway on Westford Street. Patrol investigated and had a negative find.

10:31 a.m. A detail was ordered for a utility truck in the road at Brook Street and East Riding Drive.

10:33 a.m. Verizon was notified of a wire in the roadway on Concord Street.

11:40 a.m. A Fiske Street resident reported missing items.

12:40 p.m. DPW was notified of a tree in the roadway on Judy Farm Road.

2:33 p.m. NSTAR was notified of a branch on wires on Autumn Lane.

2:48 p.m. A parking ticket with fine was issued for cars blocking the school bus turnaround at Estabrook Road and Kibby Place.

3:08 p.m. NSTAR was notified of a branch on West Street.

3:49 p.m. A minor accident occurred on Acton Street.

4:10 p.m. DPW was notified of a tree across the road on North Road. The tree was removed.

6:28 p.m. An Acton Street resident reported a flash of light and a loud sound being heard. NSTAR was working in the area.

6:30 p.m. A resident complained about people standing on the sidewalk holding political signs on Westford Street.

7 p.m. A Restorative Justice meeting was held in the Robbins/Link Building at School Street.

9:02 p.m. A tree in the road at Bedford Road and Foss Field was removed by DPW.

January 20

4:07 a.m. A tree down across the roadway at Bedford Road and Skelton Road was cleared off.

5:09 a.m. DPW was advised of a tree across the road at Westford Street and the Westford line.

10:25 a.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a vehicle lockout on Craigie Circle.

11 a.m. A tree in the roadway on School Street was removed by patrol.

11:55 a.m. NSTAR was notified of a branch on wires on Woodridge Road.

12:14 p.m. Patrol assisted hikers from the woods on Long Ridge Road. Six people who were snowshoeing became lost and couldn’t find their way out of the woods. Police used GPS to obtain their position and sent a cruiser to the end of Long Ridge Road and sounded the siren. The snowshoers oriented to the siren and thus found their way out.

1 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on Wolf Rock Road at the scene of smoking wires.

2:05 p.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle reported on Bedford Road and had a negative find.

2:07 p.m. A Restorative Justice meeting was held at the Police Station.

4:56 p.m. Carlisle Police investigated a residential break without forced entry on North Road. (Details in the next item.)

4:56 p.m. Carlisle police arrested a person wanted by Bedford police for two bank robberies, at a North Road residence (see story, page 1.)

9:04 p.m. Police arrested a 15-year-old juvenile on Hartwell Road for domestic assault and battery in progress. The matter is being handled by the Framingham Juvenile Court.

January 21

8:52 a.m. NSTAR was notified of branches on wires on Autumn Lane.

10:15 a.m. A branch on the roadway at Westford Street and Johnson Road was removed by patrol.

11:10 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a wire fire on East Street.

12:21 p.m. A Curve Street resident reported a sick raccoon. Patrol investigated and the raccoon ran into the woods.

1:44 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a vehicle stuck in the snow at Bedford Road and Green Cemetery.

5:47 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a fire alarm on Cross Street.

January 22

7:04 a.m. A Prospect Street resident complained about a barking dog.

7:30 a.m. NSTAR was notified of a low-hanging wire on Bedford Road.

8:28 a.m. The operator of a utility truck blocking the roadway on Concord Street was advised.

8:34 a.m. A dog in the roadway on Lowell Street was removed by the owner.

8:43 a.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm from a Munroe Hill Road residence. It checked okay.

12:39 p.m. Patrol investigated footprints in the snow reported by a Stearns Street resident.

8:33 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious white van with flashers on at East Street and Old East Street and had a negative find.

10:38 p.m. The Dog Officer was notified of a barking dog at West Street and Highwoods Lane.

January 23

9:35 a.m. Patrol assisted a Maple Street resident who was concerned about a creek overflowing.

1:41 p.m. A Mill Pond Lane resident reported a possible sick raccoon. The raccoon was put down.

2:17 p.m. A seven-month-old Beagle on Maple Street was reported lost and was reported returned home.

2:47 p.m. Two dogs were found on Sunset Road.

3:18 p.m. A Maple Street resident reported mail box vandalism.

3:31 p.m. A wire was reported down on Judy Farm Road; patrol investigated and had a negative find.

3:57 p.m. Patrol responded with the Fire Department at the scene of a carbon monoxide alarm on Virginia Farme.

7:23 p.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm received from an Estabrook Road residence and found the situation secure.

8:50 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle with no one around on Bedford Road.

January 24

11:08 a.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle at Lowell Street and Proctor Road; it had run out of gasoline.

Noon A firearms applicant came to the station.

2:31 p.m. The Dog Officer was notified of two loose dogs on Page Brook Road.

3:54 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a car in a snowbank at Westford Street and Munroe Hill Road.

4:18 p.m. A sick raccoon was reported on Curve Street; it was put down.

4:33 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical call on Judy Farm Road.

6:11 p.m. A vehicle was stopped at Concord Street and Buttrick Lane for tailgating and using high beams. ∆
