Carlisle awarded money for renewable energy project

Representative Cory Atkins is pleased to announce that the Town of Carlisle has been awarded a Clean Energy Choice grant of $335 from the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust to pay for renewable energy science kits to be used in Carlisle School.

The funding comes as a result of efforts by citizens of Carlisle to purchase clean energy through their electric utility bills, which generated matching funds from the Trust for use toward clean energy projects.

The Town will purchase a KíNEX Solar Energy Set, a Toyota RaRaX Solar Racer, and Solar House kit. These kits will allow students to learn about the science and benefits of renewable technology through hands-on activities.
