Carlisle receives $114,381 in CPA matching funds

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) has given Carlisle $114,381 in a 34.8% match of funds raised last year by the town through the 2% real estate tax surcharge authorized under the Community Preservation Act (CPA). Resident’s 911 call helps police get their man

An alert resident noticed a dark green Jeep driving up and down driveways on Laurelwood Drive Monday, October 19 in the morning and immediately called the police to give them the car’s plate numbers. Selectmen renew Ferns liquor license: State approvals still needed

Fire totals car on Hanover Road

A resident who saw smoke rising from the Hanover Hill development last Saturday called in the information to the Carlisle Police Department. Police and firemen arrived at the scene at 2:19 p.m. to find a vehicle fully involved in flames. The fire was under control by 2:31 p.m., but the vehicle was a total loss, much of it melted, due to the fire. ...more
