CCHS responding to student incident

On Tuesday, September 22, Concord-Carlisle High School (CCHS) Principal Peter Badalament notified parents: “A statement of a threatening nature was found written on the wall in a boys bathroom early today. As a precaution, our Incident Management Team met with the Concord Police and it was determined that the statement did not represent a significant threat to the students or staff of CCHS. Understand that we will take every precaution to keep the school community safe.” He requested that anyone with relevant information contact him in person, or by email at: pbadalament@colonial.net.

When contacted on Wednesday morning, he said the incident is under police investigation and for that reason he was unable to provide further specifics. However, he said there will be an increased police presence at the school throughout the week and staff have been alerted to listen to students and provide more visibility in common areas. ∆
