Police Blotter

August 24

6:50 a.m. Mailbox vandalism was reported on Nowell Farme Road. The site was secured and a card was left.

9:59 a.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm received from Kimball Road. Everything appeared secure and a card was left.

11:43 a.m. Patrol responded with the Fire Department on Kimball Road where a resident needed a lift assist.

11:52 a.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm from a Stoney Gate residence. Everything appeared secure and a card was left.

5:05 p.m. A mailbox was vandalized on Suffolk Lane.

August 25

8:15 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency at Curve Street and the bogs.

8:48 a.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious white van on Heald Road; it checked okay.

9:34 a.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle on Westford Street and found AAA was enroute.

11:10 a.m. Patrol stopped a vehicle at Concord Street and Bingham Road. The vehicle was subsequently towed because the operator’s registration expired last February.

11:46 a.m. A resident of Texas called from that state to report receiving a fraudulent check from someone with a Carlisle address.

2:42 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious motor vehicle at North Road and Pine Brook Road. It checked okay.

3:01 p.m. The operator of a Comcast truck parked in the roadway on East Street was advised.

5:03 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle at North Road and Pine Brook Road and it checked okay.

7:17 p.m. Patrol assisted a bicyclist from Concord who required transport.

11:08 p.m. A disabled vehicle at Maple Street and the Billerica line was towed by AAA.

August 26

10:23 a.m. A dog was found at Estabrook Road and Kibby Place and the Dog Officer was notified.

10:28 a.m. An Estabrook Road resident made a barking dog complaint and the Dog Officer was notified.

10:42 a.m. A Davis Road resident reported identify theft. A collection agency unknown to the resident reported bills incurred in the resident’s name.

10:52 a.m. A Davis Road resident reported vehicles in the middle of the roadway at Maple Street and Davis Road and requested police to monitor traffic at the intersection.

7:50 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on Timothy Lane at the scene of a medical emergency.

9:46 p.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm from School Street and the Robbins/Link Building and found the situation checked okay.

10 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle at School Street and the Robbins/Link Building.

10:46 p.m. Patrol investigated suspicious vehicles on the Benfield Land at South Street and Fifty Acre Way; they checked okay.

August 27

1:05 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle on Lowell Street; it checked okay.

6:36 p.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle at West Street and the Westford Line and found AAA had already been called.

6:42 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Craigie Circle; patrol investigated and had a negative find

10:34 p.m. Patrol investigated a vehicle parked at the Transfer Station and it checked okay.

August 28

12:53 a.m. Patrol assisted the Concord Police look for suspicious persons at River Road and the Concord line and had a negative find.

12:36 p.m. NSTAR was notified of a streetlight problem on North Road.

12:39 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department on Koning Farm Road at the scene of a fire alarm.

12:39 p.m. A past dispute between neighbors on Fiske Street was reported.

5:27 p.m. A resident reported fraudulent checks had been sent all over the country using personal information from their credit card account. The fraud is being pursued by the credit card company.

August 29

2:09 p.m. Patrol investigated two cars parked for two hours on Stearns Street and found the situation checked okay.

6:14 p.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a vehicle lockout on Bedford Road.

6:45 p.m. A Carlisle Pines Drive resident reported two cows in his front yard. The cows were returned to their own yard.

8:31 p.m. A message was delivered on Overlook Drive for the Burlington Police.

10:54 p.m. A Rutland Street residence was broken into while residents were away for the weekend. Electronics equipment was taken. The theft is under active investigation.

August 30

6:50 a.m. The owner of a dog that was barking on Pheasant Hill Lane was advised.

10:26 a.m. A complaint about bicyclist riding three and four abreast at Bedford Road and the Bedford line was received and investigated, with a negative find.

2:40 p.m. A vehicle was stopped at Rutland Street and North Road. The operator will be summonsed for operating under a suspended license.

4:59 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on North Road.

10:28 p.m. The owner of a dog barking on Pheasant Hill Lane was advised and the Dog Officer notified.

August 31

7:36 a.m. An unlocked car on Hutchins Road was broken into and an iPod was taken.

8:38 a.m. The Dog Officer was notified of a dog charging a bicyclist on Fiske Street.

10:37 a.m. Fingerprints were taken at the station in connection with a recent burglary.

12:31 p.m. A Curve Street resident reported an IPOD stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The theft is under investigation.

1:07 p.m, Patrol assisted at the scene of a vehicle lockout on River Road.

5:34 p.m. A Russell Street resident reported a dying duck. Patrol assisted the homeowners.

6:05 p.m. Patrol responded at the scene of a domestic dispute on Judy Farm Road.

September 1

8:53 a.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle at the State Park; it checked okay.

9:04 a.m. DPW was notified of a vandalized stop sign at East Street and Rutland Street.

1:03 p.m. Patrol investigated a female reportedly passed out in her vehicle on Hanover Road. It was determined it was her lunch break and she was having a nap.

3:37 p.m. Patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle on Buttrick Lane; it checked okay.

3:38 p.m. A contractor parked a flat bed truck on a lawn on Davis Road and was advised by patrol.

7 p.m. Bicycle helmets were distributed at the station. A sign on the door of the station states that there are no more helmets.

9:41 p.m. A citation was issued for possession of marijuana at Bedford Road and Foss Field.

11:35 p.m. There were no injuries in a single vehicle accident at West and South Streets.

August 2

8 a.m. A police officer gave a safety talk at the school.

8:06 a.m. A speed monitor was deployed at Church Street and the Corey Building.

8:07 a.m. A traffic enforcement operation began. Five stops were made between 8:46 a.m. and 10:03 a.m.

1:18 p.m. Trucks creating a traffic hazard in the roadway on South Street were moved.

3:09 p.m. Verizon was notified of a phone out of service on Wildwood Drive.

3:34 p.m. A parking ticket with a fine was issued at Brook and Maple Streets.

4 p.m. A second selective enforcement operation made four stops between 4:27 p.m. and 6:27 p.m.

6:59 p.m. The field driver was notified of loose chickens on Pope Road.

7:15 p.m. Patrol investigated a possible disabled vehicle at East Street and Rutland Drive. It checked okay.

7:18 p.m. A complaint was received about a loose golden retriever at Lowell Street and the Rotary. The dog was located and returned to its owner.

September 3

8:02 a.m. A traffic enforcement operation stopped eight vehicles between 8:16 and 11:37 a.m.

11:54 a.m. The operator of a moving van blocking the roadway on Fiske Street was advised.

12:44 p.m. A complaint about an erratic operator at Bedford Road and the Banta-Davis Field led to a vehicle stop. Patrol determined that the operator was having a diabetic reaction. The individual was treated at the scene and refused transport to the hospital.

4:12 p.m. A second traffic enforcement operation stopped two vehicles between 4:12 and 4:32 p.m.

September 4

9:22 a.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a carbon monoxide alarm on Aberdeen Drive.

12:00 p.m. A traffic enforcement operation stopped three vehicles between 12:36 and 3:21 p.m.
