Housing Authority shorts, August 13
• Chelmsford Housing Authority Proposal. Administrative Assistant Elizabeth Barnett reported that she had received a proposal from the Chelmsford Housing Authority to handle some of the administrative tasks associated with Affordable Accessory Apartments. Cost would be $500 for initial launch and $1,000 per year. As each AAA may become available in Carlisle, the Chelmsford Authority would undertake “outreach” to prospective renters, certify renters and give the homeowner three names from the qualified list. The Carlisle Housing Authority will review the proposal.
• Council on Aging Weighs In on Meeting Schedule. COA Chair Marje Stickler said that CHA activities are of particular interest to seniors in town and asked that the CHA consider holding some meetings during the day rather than evenings, particularly in the winter. ∆
