Board of Selectmen shorts, July 14, 28
• Goals and objectives. The Selectmen reviewed goal status and board assignments for the 2010-2011 year. Tim Hult and John Williams will tackle Financial Management. Doug Stevenson and Bill Tice will team for Education and Town Services. Peter Scavongelli and Hult will address Recreation and Community Services. Scavongelli and Williams will work on Conservation and Open Space, and Scavongelli and Stevenson will work on Safety and Security. Williams and Hult will address Affordable Housing.
• Emergency fund transfer. The Selectmen voted unanimously to move $4,397.06 from the emergency fund to the ambulance fund to cover higher than expected expenses in the EMS Coordinator stipend and the cost of repairs to the fire station generator.
• Carpet installation schedule. Work to replace carpeting at he town hall will occur over the last two weekends in August. Town offices will open for business as usual on Monday mornings.
• Returning cemetery lots. The selectmen voted unanimously to purchase back two blocks of cemetery lots with perpetual case from former resident for a total of $1,600. ∆
