CCHS plans layoffs as state funding drops

Mosquito feature editor dies

After a brief battle with cancer, former Mosquito feature editor Ellen Miller passed away on May 26.

She joined the paper in 1994, overseeing the Oral History Project.Throughout her tenure with the Mosquito, Miller wore many hats, including Forum writer and proofreader, before becoming the feature editor in 2006.

A full obituary will be in next week’s paper. A memorial service is being planned for later in June.
