Middle school boys end basketball season with hard-fought win

The Carlisle Huskies boys basketball team finished their 2008-09 season 6-3, with wins over Hanscom, Lincoln, Day and Parker. The team was lead by eighth-grade captains Kyle Ridick and Stowe Simonton. Additional leadership was provided by returning varsity players Kevin He, Jake Juneau, Tyler Nardone, Christian Salemy and Ben Schofield. Making valuable contributions were eighth graders Colin Bratton, Chris Sellew and Ryan Walsh. Seventh graders Scott Brazina, Richard Chelton, Barrett Easton and Parker Zimmerman performed admirably. Rounding out the team were a pair of talented sixth graders: Chris George and Matt Paze.

Our finest game of the season was our last, which was against a very tough Day Middle School. Strong team defense and unmatched hustle – two hallmarks of this year’s team – helped the Huskies earn a hard-fought win. The team showed great progress during the course of the season, and the boys should be proud of having been part of such a successful season. ∆
