Reverend Keith Greer steps down

After serving the Carlisle Congregational Church for more than 30 years, Reverend Keith Greer is stepping down as senior pastor as of January 2009. Replacing him as senior pastor is Reverend Steven James Weibley. Rev. Weibley served first as the church’s choir director and more recently as associate pastor, with duties such as teaching Sunday school.

According to the church’s website Rev. Greer attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He joined the Carlisle Congregational Church in 1975. His tenure as pastor is remarkable for the length of time he served the church. He is listed on the church’s website as “pastor,” indicating he will maintain an active role in the church. ∆
