In appreciation of a random act of kindness

To the Editor:

A few weeks ago, I was at the Carlisle Post Office bringing in my monthly boxes of newsletters to mail. I was having a particularly bad day and was trying to carry in the trays of newsletters when a very nice woman who was coming out of the Post Office asked me if I would like some help. I gladly accepted her help as my back was hurting pretty badly that day. I told her that just when you think there are some people who are not so nice, someone like her comes along and proves you wrong! Simple random acts of kindness and assistance are the niceties of life and prove that most people are really good human beings. Thank you whoever you are. You made my day and I went home feeling not so bad after all. (Thank you also to Kevin and Chris at the Post Office who also help me when I need it most!)
