Fast response helps Carlisle in ice storm

Carlisle coped well with last week’s rain and ice storm. Three telephone poles and wires on West Street were knocked down by trees and the street was closed until late Saturday when Verizon and NSTAR crews were able to replace the poles. Lowell and Westford Streets also sustained considerable tree damage and wires down. ...more

School closing leaves some students stranded

Last Friday’s ice storm caused more than messy driving for some Carlisle parents. Unaware that school was closed due to the ice storm, some students were dropped at school while others were waiting for buses that did not come. To add to the confusion, Concord-Carlisle High School remained open, while other towns including Acton and Chelmsford closed schools. ...more

New design unveiled for Town Common Honor Roll

The Honor Roll Committee (HRC) has incorporated feedback from its open forum in November into a new design for the Veterans Memorial on the Town Common. On December 9, Neal Emmer of Levi and Wong showed the Board of Selectmen the latest and detailed the thinking behind it.
