Police Blotter

December 1

12:28 p.m. Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on Virginia Farme Lane and had a negative find.

2:09 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a medical emergency on Partridge Lane.

7:28 p.m. Patrol removed a tree in the road at Lowell Street and Orchard Acres Drive.

7:44 p.m. Patrol removed a branch in the road at East and Old East Streets.

7:49 p.m. Patrol removed a branch in the road at Concord and Russell Streets.

8:00 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a house lockout on Hickory Lane.

9:41 p.m. Patrol investigated a burglar alarm on Judy Farm Road. The house appeared secure.

10:04 p.m. Patrol removed a tree in the road at Lowell Street and North Road.

December 2

11:29 a.m. Patrol checked an open door at a house on Cross Street. Things appeared to be in order.

2:09 p.m. A child’s car seat was installed at the station.

2:26 p.m. Patrol investigated a disabled vehicle at Brook Street and Page Brook Road. AAA was going to tow the vehicle.

5:23 p.m. A vehicle was stopped on Maple Street and given a final warning.

5:35 p.m. A summons will be issued for a Billerica woman stopped at Maple and Brook Street, driving with an expired license.

11:30 p.m. A Rutland Street resident reported a suspicious person knocked on the door. Patrol had a negative find.

December 3

6:39 a.m. A Fiske Street resident complained about a loud bicyclist.

10:51 a.m. The alarm at School Street and the Spalding Building sounded and was investigated; it checked okay.

7:09 p.m. Parkers in the cul de sac on Indian Hill were advised.

7:18 p.m. Patrol investigated clothing along the side of the road at East and Maple Streets.

December 4

10:56 a.m. Patrol delivered a message from an out-of-town police department to a Rutland Street resident that his driver’s license had been found in that town.

2:48 p.m. Loose horses on Craigie Circle were retrieved by their owner.

8:43 p .m. A Curve Street resident reported credit card fraud. The report is being investigated by the police.

December 5

7:40 a.m. NSTAR was advised of a guy wire hanging from a pole at Curve Street and Forest Park Drive.

9:43 a.m. The dog officer was notified of dogs on Police Station property.

10:37 a.m. A speed monitor was set up on Russell Street.

3:21 p.m. A hit-and-run driver damaged a stone wall on River Road.

4:36 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene of a house lockout on East Street.

8:32 p.m. Patrol checked the school dance at School Street and the Spalding Building.

8:45 p.m. Patrol re-checked the school dance at School Street and the Spalding Building.

December 6

10:51 a.m. A Bingham Road resident borrowed the Have-a-heart trap.

6:12 p.m. Patrol assisted the Fire Department at the scene of an inside smoke investigation on Maple Street.

December 7

12:09 a.m. An operator who knocked down a mailbox on Westford Street was arrested for OUI and later bailed.

2:12 p.m. A small tree leaning on wires on Westford Street was removed.

7:03 p.m. NSTAR was notified of a tree on power lines on Woodridge Road.

November 20

10:23 a.m. A boil-over on top of the stove caused an appliance fire at a Bingham Road residence. It had been put out on the Fire Department’s arrival.

12:57 p.m. A 52-year-old man with a medical emergency was transported from Lowell Street to the Lowell General Hospital with Advanced Life Support (ALS) assistance.

November 21

5:37 a.m. An elderly male was transported to Emerson Hospital.

12:11 p.m. An elderly woman on Maple Street was picked up and helped to her chair.

November 23

5:42 p.m. A 76-year-old woman with a medical emergency was transported from Judy Farm Road to the Lahey Clinic with ALS assistance.

11:23 p.m. A 93-year-old woman with a medical emergency was transported from Sunset Road to Emerson Hospital with ALS assistance.

November 24

11:25 a.m. An inside smoke investigation was conducted at a Stearns Street residence where the fireplace damper was closed and the smoke was coming into the house. The damper was opened for the resident.

12:07 p.m. A handicapped male on Kimball Road was given a lift assist.

November 26

7:50 a.m. A vehicle accident on Lowell Street reported no injuries. The driver was transported to Emerson Hospital.

6:24 p.m. A fire alarm was received from an alarm company for a Rockland Road residence. The alarm was caused by steam from a shower.

November 27

1:42 p.m. An investigation of smoke coming from the roof of a School Street structure showed that the problem was with the chimney, and that there was not a chimney fire.

November 28

11:26 a.m. The Fire Department performed a special service for the Recreation Department at Kimball’s parking lot where they pumped water from a pond to flood the ice rink.

November 30

7:16 p.m. A 75-year-old woman fell and was transported from Wolf Rock Road to Emerson Hospital.

December 1

2:09 p.m. A 95-year-old male with difficulty breathing was transported with ALS to Emerson Hospital

December 6

6:12 p.m. A burner malfunction led to an inside smoke investigation on Maple Street. The Fire Department found unsafe levels of carbon monoxide present. ∆
