Carlisle School building project estimate drops to $20 million

The School Building Committee (SBC) was shocked on November 13 to learn of higher-than-expected estimates for the Carlisle School building project, but was relieved on November 20 to learn that projected costs have been substantially reduced. Public forums on school building project Dec. 3 and 10

All residents are invited to attend one of the upcoming forums regarding the proposed school building project. The forums are scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday, December 10, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Clark Room at Town Hall. At these forums the School Building Committee members will provide an update on the proposed project, including the scope and schedule. There will be a brief presentation followed by an open discussion. ∆


Board of Health describes mosquito control proposal

Board of Health (BOH) chair Jeff Brem announced at a public presentation on November 18 that the board has asked the Selectmen to place an Article in the Warrant for the Special Town Meeting in January related to having Carlisle join the Eastern Middlesex Mosquito Control District.
