Carlisle volunteers campaign in town and in New Hampshire

During the campaign, Carlisleans worked hard for their respective parties. A group of Democrats organized by Michael Ansara spent several weekends prior to the election in Rochester, New Hampshire, knocking on doors and canvassing voters. On Election Day the Carlisle contingent was part of the get-out-the-vote effort, ensuring that every Obama supporter could get to the polls and cast their ballots.

On the Republican side, James Bohn told the Mosquito by phone that Carlisle volunteers focused their efforts on local candidates Jeff Beatty and Sandi Martinez. They did issues-related research for Martinez, made phone calls, held fundraisers and worked with 300 Republican volunteers out of an office in Concord. Bohn himself spent a day knocking on doors in Nashua, N.H., on behalf of Senator McCain. ∆
