Planning Board shorts, June 9
• Board officers. Greg Peterson was voted in as chair with Brian Larson as vice chair. Marc Lamere is now treasurer and Carol Nathan continues as clerk. Summer meetings will be June 23, July 28, and August 18. An application for an accessory apartment will be held June 23 at 7:45 and an application for a common drive on Fiske Street will be held July 28 at 7:45
• Land regulation consultant. The contract to hire a lawyer to review bylaws and regulations should be signed this week. The 40B Working Group has expressed interest in having him review their recommendations.
• Water conservation. The Boston Globe ran an article recently noting that Chelmsford, Littleton, and Westford are banding together to look at ways to conserve water. Epstein suggested that the Planning Board and Board of Health check into it and “get a sense of what they’re doing.”
• Deadlines. It was noted that documents for Planning Board meetings have a submission deadline of the Thursday before. Peterson said the board may have to get tough on applicants who are late as the board does not have time for adequate review. ∆
