Learn about Carlisle's Medical Reserve Corps and Emergency Dispensing Site
The Board of Health will be holding a walk-through of Carlisle's Emergency Dispensing Site (EDS) in the Corey Building at the school on Wednesday, November 28, starting at 7 p.m. This is an opportunity for current Medical Reserve Corps members to meet fellow volunteers, become familiar with our emergency clinic (public shelter) layout, and learn about the various jobs and the kind of staffing that we will need. Judith Chevarley of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health will explain how an EDS operates. This will be followed by work groups moving through each station. There will be a tour of the rooms to be used and comments and suggestions will be solicited.
All citizens, non-medical and medical, who are not already part of the Medical Reserves Corps, are encouraged to attend. Information and applications to join the Medical Reserves Corps will be available. The exercise is limited to 30 people, so please reserve your space by calling the Board of Health (1-978-369-0283) or by e-mailing Linda Fantasia at email@example.com.
