Shorts from the Board of Health, June 19
• Revolving account. After a second year of high engineering activity and expenses which exceeded the cap on the 53E Revolving Account, the Board of Health agreed on June 19 to request an increase in the cap on the account. Board member Bill Risso stated, "This is fee money; it doesn't involve tax increases. We need to ask the Board of Selectmen to prepare a warrant article for town approval so that we don't run into this every year."
• Data formats. The board agreed to investigate the possibility of requiring all "as-built" engineering plans to be submitted to the town in Computer Aided Design (CAD) format. This would allow the town to develop a database which would eventually contain all information about septic systems and wells within the town. In the future this information could be combined with additional Geographic Information System (GIS) data such as soil test results.
