Democratic candidates for U.S. Congress come to town

Four candidates interested in running for election to the congressional seat vacated by U.S. Representative Marty Meehan attended a picnic hosted on Sunday, June 3, by the Carlisle Democratic Town Committee at the Comjean home on River Road. Carlisle residents listened as the candidates gave short speeches and answered questions. Lowell City Councilor and former mayor, Eileen Donoghue explains her views in photo above, while other candidates are shown at right. State Senator Susan Fargo and State Representative Cory Atkins also attended.
