Shorts from the Planning Board, April 9
· Town Meeting. Planning Board members voted on April 9 to support Town Meeting Warrant Article 16 that relates to an initiative suggested by the Wireless Advisory Subcommittee. If approved by Town Meeting, it would authorize the Selectmen to offer as many as nine town-owned facilities or properties for lease to personal wireless providers. The properties include the Banta-Davis Land, DPW property, Conant Land, Police Station, Town Hall, 1082 Westford Street, Cutter's Ridge Road/East Street property (Map 22, parcel 96, lot 14), Proctor/Lowell property (Map 32, parcel 11, lot 0), Carlisle Public School land with the approval of the School Committee and the right-of-way along public roads. Each such installation would require a special permit and site plan approval from the Planning Board.
· Appointments. Tom Lane chaired the April 9 board meeting. The board voted to recommend appointment of Tom Lane and Brian Larson to be associate members after their terms as board members expire next month. Associate members are appointed at a joint Selectmen and Planning Board meeting.
· Public Hearings rescheduled.
Scenic Road Hearing — Cross Street (Map 7, Parcels 21 and 21-4). Request to remove five trees and approximately 31 feet of stone wall within the right-of-way to accommodate driveway(s) to serve two lots. Scheduled for May 2 at 7:45 p.m.
Omnipoint Communications, Inc. — Personal Wireless Communication Facility at 886 Lowell Street (Erickson Farm). Special permit and site plan review hearing will be continued on May 2 at 8:15 p.m.
Omnipoint Communications, Inc. — Personal Wireless Communication Facility at 1022 Westford Street (Sorli Farm). Special permit and site plan review hearing will be continued on May 2 at 8:30 p.m.
Chestnut Estates — 400 Rutland Street (Map 36, Parcels 23 and 26). Conservation Cluster and Common Driveway special permits hearing will be continued on May 2 at 9 p.m.
