Billerica man sentenced for East Riding housebreak

Jazi Piracha, a 26-year-old Billerica resident, was recently sentenced for a housebreak on East Riding Drive in August 2005. A laptop, DVD, VCR and other electronic equipment were stolen at that time. Piracha was identified by fingerprints lifted at the scene. After he was located, he acknowledged his role in the break-in.

According to Sergeant Scott Barnes of the Carlisle Police, who was in court for the sentencing, the case was continued without a finding for a year. Piracha got one year probation, and was ordered to pay $1,600 in restitution and undergo substance abuse treatment.
