Carlisle gets crisis response tool kit
Carlisle was among 85 area towns receiving a NEMLEC (North Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council) tool kit prepared for first responders and school administrators responsible for reacting to a variety of emergency events in the school environment. The Northeast Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council hosted a meeting on December 12 and distributed materials based on the STARS (School Threat Assessment and Response System) project. Carlisle representatives who attended the meeting and received the materials were Chief Sullivan, Lt. Crowe, and Sgt. Whelan from the Police Department, Chief Flannery from the Fire Department and Town Administrator Madonna McKenzie.
Funds for the advisory council programs are locally administered by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and available to Carlisle through membership in MAGIC (the Minuteman Advisory Group on Interlocal Coordination.)
