Voters, please note: Tuesday election procedure
There will be two separate elections held on Tuesday, November 7. The polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
The Special Town Election will be held in the Parlin Room at Town Hall. The check-in table will be located just outside the lobby entrance to the Parlin Room (on your right as you enter the lobby). The voting booths, check-out table and ballot box will be inside the Parlin Room and voters should exit through the door to the Clerk's Office after voting. Voters exiting the Parlin Room will be let via a roped queue to the check-in table for the State Election.
Voters who choose to only vote in the Special Town Election may exit the lobby through the front doors.
The State Election will be held in the Clark Room. The check-in table will be just outside the Clark Room. The voting booths, check-out table and ballot box will be located next to the exit door leading to the patio as is the case in usual elections. Voters leaving the Clark Room are asked to exit the polls through the external door to reduce traffic in the lobby (weather permitting).
There will be a separate queue line at the State Election check-in table for voters who choose to vote only in the State Election.
Voters who intend to vote in both elections should begin the process by voting in the Special Town Election since that ballot is so short. There will be roped queues set up in the lobby to assist with the traffic flow and to reduce confusion. As always, please feel free to contact the Town Clerk's office to verify your voter registration or with any questions or concerns.
