Affordable Housing lottery meeting June 14
Next week there will be a public information session concerning the upcoming lottery for two units of affordable housing being built in the Laurel Hollow development, located off Lowell Street. The meeting will be held in the Clark Room in Town Hall on Wednesday, June 14, at 7 p.m. The deadline for applications is June 21, and the lottery will be held at Town Hall at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29.
Both units of affordable housing are 1,900-square-foot town houses, with a sale price of $165,000.The units have two bedrooms, 1.5 baths and two-car garages.
Eligibility requirements include asset and income limits, and buyers must not have owned a home as a principal residence in the past three years. Local preference will be given to applications for one of the two units. To qualify for the local preference pool, applicants must be current Carlisle residents, or the adult child or parent of a resident, or a Town employee, or employed by the Concord-Carlisle Regional School District. Maximum allowable income ranges from $46,300 for a single adult, to $66,150 for a family of four. Preference will be given to families with children, and then to couples over single adults.
