CARLISLE WALKS FOR HUNGER. (Left to right) Alice Hardy, Ann James and Ellen Huber have just completed the 20-mile Walk for Hunger on Sunday, May 7. Starting at the Boston Common, 43,000 people walked to Newton, crossed the Charles River and walked back along the river in Cambridge, returning down Commonwealth Avenue to the Public Gardens. Sponsored by Project Bread, the event raised $3.2 million for over 400 hunger organizations in Massachusetts. This was Huber's 27th year on the Walk, James' 19th and Hardy's 7th.
