Voters face ballot questions on Tuesday
For the exact text of the ballot questions, see the sample ballot
Question 1 is an override, which will become a permanent part of the tax levy limit base. The remaining questions concern debt exclusions, which affect taxes temporarily until the debt is paid. Town Meeting approved the following sums, which must be ratified at town election.
The $150,766 budget override will provide additional funds for the operation of the Carlisle Public School and the Concord-Carlisle Regional High School.
This will allow the Concord-Carlisle Regional School District to borrow $1.2 million for repairs and renovations to the high school. Carlisle's share will be approximately $325,000.
This will authorize borrowing $450,000 for a new boiler system for the Carlisle Public School.
This question will allow the Fire Department to purchase a new fire truck at a cost up to $500,000.
The Fire Department has requested the town borrow up to $200,000 for the construction of fire cisterns.
The Recreation Commission has requested the town borrow up to $2,044,900 for the expansion of recreation facilities on the Banta-Davis Land.
