Wedding


Audrey Fleming weds Arnold Parisi

Audrey Fleming, formerly of Fiske Street, was married to Arnold Parisi on November 12, 2005, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. They are pictured above with their daughter Abigail Rose.

Birth

Kyra Signe Forsberg

Andy and Ali Forsberg joyfully announce the birth of their second daughter, Kyra Signe Forsberg. Kyra was born on April 5, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and was welcomed home by her sister Mia in Leominster.

Kyra's proud grandparents are Ron and Marilyn Whitmarsh of Dalton, Massachusetts, and Charlie and Joanne Forsberg of Autumn Lane.

• Concord student Marcus Widell, a CCHS senior formerly of Carlisle, was recently awarded the Andrew First Award at the high school's annual hockey banquet held March 23. This prestigious award is presented to the hockey player who best demonstrates qualities of dedication and sportsmanship. This award is in memory of Andrew First who played for the CCHS hockey team in 1981.

Eliot Weisman of Partridge Lane, along with a group of 12 participants from the Pomfret School in Connecticut, hiked up Mt. Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, in March. As part of their climb, the group found sponsors and were able to raise over $15,000 for Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camps. The group, which was comprised of students, faculty and parents and led by Tusker Trails, remained on the mountain for ten days in order to adjust to the high altitude. Weisman's daughter Michelle is a senior at the school.

Kim Donovan of Fiske Street, coach of the ABC Sharks Swim Team, led her team to a fifth place showing at the New England Masters Swimming Championships in March. The event was held at Harvard University's Blodget Pool. The age of the swimmers ranged from 23 to 79. One of the most outstanding performances was turned in by Coach Donovan, who won the women's 50-yard breast stroke in 35:02, placing her second in the US in her age group and 31st in the US against all master swimmers, ages 18 to 44.

• On Saturday the Carlisle Middle School Destination Imagination team took third place at the State competition. Members of the team were seventh graders Tim Lamere, Curran Wilmot, Ben Parra, Tommy Veitch and David Rayson.
