Board of Appeals grants permits to Galvin, Wayside Mortgage
Laura and Peter Chelton appeared before the Zoning Board of Appeals last Thursday to request special permit extension to operate their business, Wayside Mortgage Company at 50 School Street. They also requested a special permit that would enable them to sublet part of their current office space to the law practice of Carlisle's former Police Chief, David Galvin. Recent downsizing at Wayside Mortgage Company, which freed up office space, created the subletting opportunity for Wayside and Galvin. Currently, there are enough parking spaces to accommodate both businesses, and Galvin would be keeping the same business hours as Wayside Mortgage. The subletting arrangement, however, is still under negotiation between Wayside Mortgage and their landlord.
The ZBA granted Wayside Mortgage both permits: a permit to operate their business at 50 School Street for another three years; and a permit to sublet their current office space to David Galvin, also for three years.
