Vandalism hits CCHS
Very early Sunday morning a dozen windows were broken at the entrance of the Concord-Carlisle High School (CCHS). Principal Art Dulong said the estimate to repair the damage is over $10,000. Repairs are expected to be completed this week. At this time, the person or persons responsible for the vandalism have not been caught.
Dulong wondered about the level of anger that would cause someone to do this. He said, "This is a very unusual incident. Kids are proud of their school. This is very upsetting to the students and the staff. Right now, police are following every lead."
Dulong said the damage will be fixed as soon as possible. The windows that were broken are not a standard size and a few were quite large, which is why the repair bill is so high. (See photo at left.)
The Concord Police are investigating, and asked that anyone with any information contact Detective Scott Camilleri (1-978-318-3414) or leave an anonymous message on the Concord Police Tip Line (1-978-318-3407).
