CCHS International Issues classes raise funds for The Sharing Foundation

On January 20, the students in Samantha Fox-Morrow's International Issues classes at CCHS raised about $4,000 to support the work of The Sharing Foundation in Cambodia. The students hosted a dinner and auction at Union Hall in Carlisle that was very well attended. The evening also included entertainment by high school musical groups: the CCHS Orchestra, CCHS Select Chorus, an a cappella group and a jazz band

The Sharing Foundation, founded by former Carlisleans Dr. Nancy Hendrie and nurse-practitioner Judy Jones, works to care for and educate disadvantaged children in Cambodia.

Some of the Carlisle students who helped organize and run the fundraiser pose in the kitchen. They are (front row, left to right) Emily Fritz-Endres, Katie DeGuglielmo, Heather Gladstone, Deirdre Offenheiser and Cassidy Lane; (back row) Danielle Geoffroy, Aimee Carter, Elizabeth Price, Jill McElligott, Vanessa Rao, Joe Lesses and Andy O'Laughlin.

Members of the CCHS Select Chorus (left to right) Anna Daigle, John Eldridge, Gene Delsener, Eric Stengrevics and David Jubinsky provide musical entertainment.
Singing a cappella at the fundraiser are (left to right) Anna Daigle, Teresa Huang, Cricky Cicchetti and Annie Jacoby.
