Pair sentenced for 2005 larceny

Police Chief John Sullivan said on Tuesday that the cases of two persons arrested in a car break-in on North Road in April, 2005 had come to court and that both had received sentences. John Farrier of Billerica was charged with breaking and entering, destruction of property, larceny, possession of burglarious tools, possession of a Class A substance and possession of a hypodermic needle. He pleaded guilty to all counts and was sentenced to a total of five years. His companion, Denise Dausch of Lowell, also pleaded guilty to all counts and was sentenced to a total of at least eight years, with sentences suspended on each count as long as she complied with the court's terms. Sargeants Leo Crowe and Stephen Mack made the arrest when they saw a parked car with a broken window and another car fleeing the scene.
