Another successful season for Carlisle cross-country runners
The Carlisle cross-country team had another successful season this fall, attracting more than 60 runners from grades five through eight. Once again there was a strong turnout from the younger grades, but the veteran runners showed great leadership as they led practice stations, designed workouts, and cheered the team on during meets. Parents from Carlisle as well as coaches and supporters from other teams have commended the Huskies for their sportsmanship and teamwork at meets.
Through hard work and perseverance, the team developed strength and speed as the season progressed, with many runners achieving their personal best course time by the end of the season. In addition, the boys team successfully defended their "home turf" at this year's Carlisle Invitational Meet, challenged by only one other team. The girls team continues to develop and fortify itself through true grit and the example of its leaders. The Carlisle cross-country team should be very proud of all they have accomplished this year, and we look forward to continued success next fall.
