Carlisle players contribute to the CCHS football team
The Concord-Carlisle football team had a tough season this year, returning from an excellent, senior-led season last year. The team worked hard with Coach Dick Kerr and his assistants, training many underclassmen. With the help of seniors Jeremy Mestancik, Joe Lesses and Cory Robart, this young team played above expectations, winning 3 out of 9 games so far.
Carlisle juniors Taylor Habbe and Dan Canina both received the DCL All-League award, a special honor as all the coaches in the league vote on who they think deserves recognition. To win this award as a junior is rare.
Many Carlisle players contributed to the team including juniors Evan Tierney, Ted Day-Fratto, Rushi Ganmukhi, Billy Luther, Eric Oberg, Chris Lin, Jared Higgins, Evan Carpenito, and Peter Stone. Sophomores Henry Carr, Parker Schweer, Patrick Doyle, Oliver Cragan, Jason Mestancik, Cam Bjork, Will Oh, Greg Moseley and David Grean also helped out the team.
The Patriots will have played Bedford on Thanksgiving at Concord-Carlisle High School, a much-awaited game which is sure to bring a large turnout.
