Boys soccer has 15 wins, 4 losses
The CCHS boys soccer team had an excellent season this year, coming within two games of the state championship.
Starting off the season with one win and two losses, the boys fought back winning 15 games with only four losses. Entering the post-season, C-C edged out Arlington by 2 goals and then beat Marblehead 6 - 0, a remarkable feat after losing the third game of the season by that same score. Concord-Carlisle went on to beat Wayland 3 - 2 and advance to the next stage of the playoffs. With only eight teams left in Massachusetts, Stoneham finally defeated C-C, 0 - 2, ending C-C's run in the playoffs.
Head Coach Ray Pavlik and Assistant Coach Brian Miller were pleased with the outcome of this season, and have high hopes for next year. "We have a young team," said Miller, "With the entire starting midfield returning next year as seniors, I think we will do very well."
Carlisle players included the senior forward Nick Chehames; goalie Alex Ivanov; juniors Connor Callahan, Spencer Holland, David Tobin and sophomore Taylor Brophy.
