Starting dates for CCHS fall sports
Candidates for the fall athletic program at Concord-Carlisle high school should report to their coaches on the following dates and times:
The varsity and junior varsity football teams will hold the first of three non-contact conditioning practices on Monday, August 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at CCHS. Double sessions and contact drills will start on Thursday, August 25 at 9 a.m.
Freshman football team members will be issued equipment and will hold their first practice session on Monday, August 29, at 9 a.m. in the lower gym at CCHS. After equipment is issued, there will be a non-contact practice session until noon. Freshman football practices will be held every day this week through Friday, September 2.
All candidates for the varsity and junior varsity girls soccer teams should report to Emerson Playground on Thursday, August 25, at 9 a.m. for fitness testing. A second practice will be held on the 25th from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at CCHS.
Freshman girls soccer practice will start on Monday, August 29, at Emerson Playground at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
All candidates for the varsity, junior varsity and freshman boys soccer teams should report to Emerson Playground on Thursday, August 25 for practice sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Practice sessions for the varsity and junior varsity field hockey teams will begin on Thursday, August 25, from 9 a.m. to noon and will be held on the main field hockey field at CCHS.
Freshman field hockey practice will begin on Monday, August 29, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., on the freshman field hockey field at CCHS.
Practice sessions for the varsity and JV volleyball teams will be held in the upper gym at CCHS starting Thursday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
All girls cross-country candidates (including freshmen) should report to the CCHS lower gym parking lot on Monday, August 29, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
All boys cross-country candidates (including freshmen) should report to the CCHS lower gym parking lot on Thursday, August 25, at 9 a.m.
The first varsity golf tryout will be held at the Concord Country Club on Friday, August 26, at 3:30 p.m. No blue jeans are allowed and collared shirts must be worn.
It is a requirement that all candidates for CCHS athletic teams show evidence of a current physical exam. No one will be allowed to practice without an updated physical.
The athletic user fee for the 2005-06 school year is $125 per sport. A family maximum is capped at $500 per year.
