CCHS expands drama program

The Concord-Carlisle High School has recently hired George Kendall to teach in a newly-expanded drama program. Kendall (no relation to CCHS history teacher Ben Kendall, who is associated with co-curricular plays) is a fully-certified drama teacher with a great deal of experience producing and directing plays and musicals. He will be teaching two classes each semester as well as getting involved in the co-curricular drama offerings that have been traditional at CCHS.

The new drama courses are not intended to be exclusive to students who are interested in or have been part of the after-school drama/musical productions. Students who have not been inclined to be part of the after-school performances will find that learning about drama, acting, producing, etc. will greatly enhance their appreciation of movies, TV, plays, and musicals in addition to helping them learn a great deal more about themselves.

Because these courses were dependent on Concord's June budget override, the drama courses still have room for students to enroll if they fit an opening in their schedule. The drama courses will be offered B and D Block first semester and C and D Block second semester. Students who are interested should contact CCHS Principal Arthur Dulong via e-mail, letter, or phone (1-978-341-2490 x7110.)
