Recently returned from Iraq, Second Lieutenant Daniel Newman of Carlisle will give the keynote address at Carlisle's traditional Memorial Day celebration. Annual Town Meeting is Monday

The Annual Town Meeting, which will set the town budget for the next fiscal year and requires a number of other decisions important for the town's future and its citizens' pocketbooks, will convene on Monday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at the Corey Auditorium of the Carlisle Public School. All voters registered in Carlisle may participate.

Town election is May 31

The town election will be held on May 31, the day after Memorial Day. Absentee ballots can be obtained from the Town Clerk at Town Hall, 66 Westford Street, through noon on Friday, May 27. Absentee ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on May 31.
