• Home Depot proposal not dead yet
Even though opposition to the Home Depot proposal is mounting, some town officials are in favor of encouraging commercial development and addressing mounting residential taxes. A decision about whether to site Home Depot on top of the old Acton landfill is yet to be reached.

• Police search for rape suspect
Police are searching for a suspect after a woman reported that she was raped late one night three to four weeks ago. A composite sketch has been released.
Concord Journal, April 28
• School budgets pass unanimously
Both the Concord Public School and Concord-Carlisle Regional High School budgets passed unanimously during annual Town Meeting.
• Hanscom jet activity up, overall flights down
Members of the Hanscom Field Advisory Commission met to express concern about decreased aircraft activity at the airfield.
• Pool boost approved
Voters approved the use of public money to help equip the swim and health facility during the annual Town Meeting. Many residents questioned why the town of Carlisle is not contributing to the startup costs of the pool when the facility is being constructed on land owned by the school district.
