Benfield Planning Day

The Benfield Task Force will be hosting a Community Planning Day tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon in the Clark Room at Town Hall to present options for affordable housing and active recreation on the Benfield Parcel A on South Street. The meeting will feature a presentation by John Winslow, of Winslow Design Associates, explaining the trade-offs between the two proposed plans. Plan A (field in front, housing in back) and Plan B (both field and housing in back) differ in cost by only $135,000, but are widely separated in concept.

Mosquito Trash Party

The annual Mosquito Trash Party is scheduled for tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon. Stop by the parking lot next to Ferns for refreshments and grab a trash bag. Let us know where you will be working or choose from the list of "unclaimed" streets. High school students can earn community service credits.

If you are attending the Benfield Planning Day, or are busy in the morning, pick up a trash bag and collect the "artifacts" at your convenience. However, we will not be able to provide truck pick-up later in the day, so please take your trash bag to the transfer station.
